MBIOS|STAR™ Methodology

Industry Metrics
MBProject helps regulators and commercial concerns to understand the "metrics" of this emerging industry segment. As we do this, we intend to help medical banking constituencies make better decisions that will eventually decrease medical costs and greatly expand access to healthcare throughout America and around the world.

Many of the industry parameters are vague and need to be defined and monitored. This task requires a strategic and operational understanding of medical banking issues. This includes emerging critical path areas in privacy, IT implementation, organizational design and other areas. To distill these issues a methodology needs to be developed that quantifies the existing and future potential for electronic commerce in medical payment channels. Other factors must be assessed: the impact of privacy on organizational behavior, the impact of EDI in organizational transformation (re-scoping existing services) and an analysis of the value-added potential inherent in digitizing and automating medical payments.

Our MBIOS|STAR™ Research Model supplies important guidance for developing reasoned answers. The Model is explored, and various papers and derivative research are provided, in our Membership Portal. Our Portal aggregates public and special purpose research (i.e., research that we are conducting to facilitate medical banking convergence that is not part of a strategic advisory engagement). Our Portal is the nation's only educational resource that specifically tackles complex issues for medical banking constituencies.
