Synopsis:
In this program, a leading CMS regulator entered into substantive dialogue concerning "addressable" implementation specifications, the use of encryption for healthcare customer communications containing PHI, why the term "open networks" was deleted in the Final Rule and other security areas. The Telebriefing was held shortly after publication of the Final Rule in the Feb. 27 Federal Register.
